Answers about sessions, what to expect, benefits coverage, and more.
What is reflexology?+
Reflexology is a natural, non-invasive wellness therapy that involves applying pressure to specific reflex points on the feet. Many clients enjoy reflexology as a way to relax, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.
What are the benefits of reflexology?+
Reflexology is a relaxing wellness therapy that many people enjoy as part of their self-care routine. Benefits may include promoting relaxation and stress relief, supporting a calm nervous system, helping reduce feelings of tension and fatigue, supporting better sleep, encouraging circulation and overall wellness, helping relieve tired and overworked feet, and providing a calming mind-body experience. Everyone responds differently, and results may vary. Reflexology is a complementary wellness practice and does not replace medical care.
Is reflexology the same as a foot massage?+
No. While both treatments involve the feet, they are different. Foot massage focuses mainly on relaxing muscles and relieving foot tension. Reflexology focuses on applying pressure to specific reflex points on the feet as part of a wellness practice.
What can I expect during my reflexology appointment?+
Your session begins with a brief consultation to understand your wellness goals and any concerns. You will relax comfortably while pressure techniques are applied to your feet. Most clients experience a calming and relaxing session.
Does reflexology hurt?+
Reflexology should not be painful. Some areas may feel more sensitive depending on the individual. Communication is always encouraged, and pressure can be adjusted for your comfort.
What should I wear for my appointment?+
Comfortable clothing is recommended. Since reflexology focuses on the feet, you will only need to remove your shoes and socks during your session.
Does my insurance cover reflexology?+
Some benefit plans may provide coverage for reflexology, depending on your employer’s plan and requirements. You can ask your benefits provider: “Does my plan cover reflexology provided by an RRCO Registered Reflexologist?” See our Coverage page for more detail.
Can I book reflexology as a gift for someone?+
Yes. Reflexology can be a thoughtful gift for someone who needs relaxation, self-care, or wellness time.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Payment options can be discussed when booking your appointment.
Are package sessions transferable, and how long are they valid?+
Package sessions are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase and are non-transferable.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.
How often should I receive reflexology?+
The frequency of reflexology sessions depends on your individual wellness goals and lifestyle. Some clients enjoy occasional sessions for relaxation, while others prefer regular appointments as part of their self-care routine. For general wellness, reflexology sessions may be enjoyed up to 3 times per week, depending on your comfort level and individual needs.
